| Ein farbiger Punkt und ein farbiger Kreis auf einem weissen Hintergrund ergeben ein Zeichen, welches den Tausch zwischen profanem und kulturell valorisiertem Raum mehrfach vollzogen hat. Vom Hoheitszeichen zum Ölgemälde, zum Logo, etc. Birthe Zimmermanns "Targets" versucht die Reprofanisierung des kulturalisierten Raumes. (Polyester hinter Acrylglas, je125 x125 cm) |
| A coloured dot and circle on a white background creates a sign which carries the exchange between the banal and the culturally valued space. An attempt to reinsert the symbol of the circle back into a neutral space before it becomes a culturally significant sign; as logo, national emblem or oil painting. This process for the artist is a "reprofanisation" of the "culturated" space. |
