Was das Familienfoto auf dem Schreibtisch des Chefs anzeigt, ist jedem einzelnen sein Kaffeebecher im Schrank. Selten selbst zugelegt, sondern Werbegeschenk, sonst Zugedachtes oder Gewonnenes entfaltet sich im Küchenschrank eine Welt, die in dem scheinbar Einzigartigen das Private behauptet und doch in der Gesamtheit ein Panorama des Zufälligen aus Werbung und zumeist schlechtem Geschmack ausbreitet. Eine Reihe solch individueller, allerdings überdimensionierter, Kaffebecher setzt Christiane Büchner in die Vitrine des Schaukastens. Christiane Büchner lebt und arbeitet in Köln. In the vast endlesness of office kitchen cabinets lives the private in the public space. Just as the family photo on the desk of the boss represents part of his private life, so do the coffee cups of the employees in the cupboard. Rarely bought for this purpose, but rather advertisement gadgets, gifts or prizes, these cups unfold in the cabinet a world, which maintains the private in the singularity of the every day object and nevertheless shows a whole panorama of the coincidental which derived from advertisement and mostly bad taste.
