Satoshi Morita & Inga Beyer "Can you hear me?" April 2002

Bei sox36 zeigen Satoshi Morita und Inga Beyer eine Soundinstallation in Kombination mit einer fotografischen Arbeit, dem Abbild ihrer Portraits. Zu hören sind Schreie: Can You hear me? auf deutsch und japanisch. Während der Projektdauer von vier Wochen zeigen die Fotografien die Portraits der Künstler, die näher und näher an das Schaufenster kommen und zeitgleich hörbarer lauter werden.

The project for sox36 shows a sound installation and two portraits of the artists' faces pushed against the shop window. The images reveal the emotions of impossible communication. Still the nearly painful, hardly auditable shouts emerging from the loudspeakers underneath each photograph symbolize the paradox of revealed artistic intention: "Can you hear me?"
